What is a breast lift?

What scars does a breast lift leave?+
A lift always leaves scars, and that is the honest trade-off for the change in shape. Their pattern depends on how much skin has to be removed — around the areola, with a vertical line down to the fold, and sometimes along the fold itself. Your surgeon will show you which pattern your case needs before you commit.
Do I need an implant as well?+
Only if you want more volume, or more fullness in the upper part of the breast. A lift on its own repositions the tissue you already have. Many patients choose a lift alone; others combine it with a small implant. Both are discussed at consultation.
