What is gynecomastia surgery?
Gynecomastia surgery flattens the male chest by removing the enlarged glandular tissue, the excess fat, or both. The distinction matters: fat responds to liposuction, but true glandular tissue is firm and has to be excised, usually through a small incision at the edge of the areola. Can I just lose weight instead?+
If the enlargement is purely fat, weight loss can help considerably. If there is true glandular tissue, it will not shrink with diet or training, no matter how lean you get. Examination determines which one you have.
